Restoration Updates - Spring 2006

In the first 3 months of 2006 we now can see that the entire roof structure and Norman-truss system has been completed, along with the dormers.  The interior brick masonry work on the house has been completed.  The upriver cistern base was dismantled.   All interior doors and windows have arrived and are ready for installation.  Volunteer painters from Austin, Texas came in for a few days and painted 3 ceilings in 3 rooms....thanks ladies (Lee, Carole, Magda, Sylvia, & Frannie)!!!!

On April 10 the wooden shingles are going to arrive and installation will begin immediately.  The electricians will be arriving in the last week of March to begin the re-wiring of the house.   After the roof is finished, plasterers will recover the brick walls.   Door & window installation will take place and the painting will begin.

Stay tuned for more updates!!  Enjoy the pictures.
