Restoration Updates - Winter 2005

With cooler temperatures and hardly any rain since Hurricane Rita, work is moving fast even with a smaller crew.  The carpenters are busy as bees in assembling the Norman-truss roof system.   Norman is continuing with his brickwork in the rear courtyard and much of the clutter from the basement has been organized and cleaned up!

The History Channel was on site the week after Thanksgiving to do some shooting for footage on a future episode of their show Back to the Blueprint  -- more word on this when an air date has been set.

All of the doors for the house have been delivered and are in storage ready to go once the roof is complete.  Much of the interior work will go fast, as it has been completed off site during the past year.

The 5 benches of the roof system, which are the huge "triangle-shaped" support beams of the attic roof are being installed.
